Seoul Accord

MBOT AS PROVISIONAL SIGNATORY OF SEOUL ACCORD

Malaysia Board of Technologists has been accepted as a provisional signatory of Seoul Accord which is a co-accreditation agreement involving 13 signatory countries for programme in the field of computing and information technology.

MBOT's participation in Seoul Accord was supported and nominated by 2 full signatories namely Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK), South Korea and Australian Computer Society (ACS), Australia. Both organisations conducted a benchmarking visit to witness the accreditation process of professional programmes conducted by MBOT in 2018 and acknowledged that the processes have met the requirements and standards of Seoul Accord.

The proactive step towards joining Seoul Accord is crucial to upgrade the computing and information technology programme accredited by MBOT as professional programmes that will be recognised by the signatory countries of Seoul Accord. This global recognition will give a positive impact in programme quality assurance, while increasing the marketability and industry acceptance of graduates generated by the programmes.
