1st AUGUST 2023 - Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) had the honor of receiving a courtesy visit from Engr. Mustafa B. Shehu, President-Elect of World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO). His visit marked a significant milestone in MBOT's efforts to promote cross-cultural understanding and establish international partnerships.
During the visit, Dr. Md Fauzi Md Ismail, Registrar of MBOT, graciously introduced the functions and objectives of MBOT. Additionally, he shared valuable insights about MBOT's latest initiative, the Global Technological Alliance (GTA). Ts. Yam Teong Sian, MBOT Board Member and Ts. Choo Kok Beng, Advisor of GTA also highlighted the founding members of GTA namely Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies (Fed.MES), Association of Technologists and Technicians Timor Leste (ATT-TL), Philippine Technology Council (PTC), Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera dan Arkitek (PUJA) Brunei, and Singapore Institute of Engineering Technology (SIET) who will play pivotal roles in establishing this international alliance.
The GTA is set to be launched on 15th August in conjunction of ENTICE 23. The alliance will then move forward with the GTA Protem Meeting scheduled on 16th August that will gather the key representatives from the founding members to discuss the strategic plan, governance structure, and goals for the alliance.
